Rainy Day Activities

Looking out the window today is a there is a misty haze of drizzling rain outside.  It is safe to say that my outlook and feel for each day is totally affected by what is happening with the weather outside my window!  Today all I can think about is sitting in the living with a blanket and cuppa and doing some nice quiet activities with my little guy.

Pom Pom fun

I love making things, I love creating, but my favourite is doing quick, cheap crafts that make a big impact.

I have made these pom poms for several baby showers,birthdays and with the boys a couple of times (though that was slightly more stressful !!! a one and a two year old with scissors and lots of tissue paper = not relaxing fun!)

I always get my tissue paper from spotlight as its the cheapest I've found and they have quite a good range of colours, but you can buy tissue paper in bulk over trade-me or stationary shops if you were wanting to make ALOT!

DIY Car Seat

Wow I found this very cool idea via pinterest.  The lovely lady over at Ex Patria, put together this tutorial of how to recover your tired looking car seat.

I will go as far to say that 90% of new car seats look pretty aweful so if I have some spare time oneday (wouldnt that be lovely!), I am definitely going to give this a go!  Click on the image to see how she did it!
