Loving daylight savings and spring!

Its official I love daylight savings!  The weather is getting warmer and the sun is out.  We are up in the mornings and out and about in the garden.  Here are some shots before we went for walk round Arrowtown. Tuesdays are our day for fun and playing.  (of course when Kahu goes for his daytime nap, its all down to business for me!).

This past weekend, we finally started the process of weeding and getting the garden beds ready for summer.  We are planning having a bigger and better vege patch this year, so stay tuned as we get this under way.  Nothing beats food from your own garden!

Kahu has been riding up a storm on his Wishbone bike.  God I love that thing and cant say enough about them.  Must be one of the best inventions of all time.  (if you have a super energetic energizer bunny of a child like me, you will understand where I am coming from!).

Just like a spring clean of the house, we are doing this on the website.  We are tidying a few things backend and giving little tweaks here and there.  I love my little website and gives me great satisfaction each time it gets a new little lift!  We are having some sales on www.nakedbaby.co.nz/specials make sure you check them out!

Pre Wedding Madness

I have been feeling rather calm about the wedding, and strangely feel like there is plenty of time to get everything done... hmmm.  Reality obviously hasnt set in yet, that it is only 8 days away.  I realise that there are pretty much no nappies left on Kahu's change table, thinking he has heaps I wonder where they have all gone.  I find them in the laundry, and they STINK!  I cant remember the last time I did the washing... oops.

Washing them is awful, I wont go into details but all I can say is lucky I am not pregnant or I would have been vomiting everywhere.  Lesson 1 of the day, rinse nappies when they get dirty so at least if you forget to wash them they are not stinking up a storm... SO I am not as organised as I thought. Some photos on a hot day last week of Kahu in his Itti Bitti's - so cute!

Mad dash to the supermarket today to get some MAN food... yes mine doesn't like to cook, so as much as I hate buying it, I am in the freezer section getting supplies so that while I am off (on my own) this weekend for my hens, I don't have to worry about him complaining about the apparent lack of edible food!

This brings me to my second lesson of the day... don't take a toddler to the supermarket too close to midday nap time.  I had to open half the shopping as bribery just to get down the isles without tantrums... I LOVE going to the supermarket these days. Finally he is at home in bed asleep, I have a coffee and am getting to orders out in peace.  This is my blissful part of the day.

Tomorrow is cupcake day.  Yes I am crazy and have decided to bake my own wedding cake.  I have smartly enlisted the help of an amazing friend to "help"!  I am thinking this will turn out to be a quite effective day of wedding organisation as she asks me what I have left to do and offers to help.  Slightly cheeky you say? The answer is yes but I have just realised I cant do it all and have to get help where I can!

Below are some cute favour's I have made, I printed these from http://lilmagoolie.com/.  I love this blog!

First ever blog post!

I love this photo, my two favourite men on our holiday in Australia for my friends wedding!  I guess as a first post on a blog, I will start with my family and I so you can get to know us!  I love our little family, we live in constant chaos and I think its more fun that way.  Tane and I have never done things the safe way.  We have an idea and we run with it.

We were talking while we were on this holiday, about what formulas would be best for Kahu as he was becoming more and more difficult to breastfeed.  His self weaning was a really distressing time and lots of guilt followed for me.  We thought organic was the next best thing we could offer him.  Organic formula was really expensive and there wasnt much choice.  On holiday in Australia we found the Bellamy's organic range and Tane said why dont you sell it in NZ?  Then we just went for it and as usual I couldnt stop finding more amazing products.

Naked Baby's website was created and launched in 3 months, we have been running ever since, learning, making mistakes and learning how to juggle a million things.  I love this little website and find it really amazing talking to customers over Facebook.

As every other business appears to have a blog I thought I would jump on board and give it a go! Wish me luck as it appears much harder than it looks!
