Project outdoor play area

I am right into my Vege garden at the moment, it is tucked into a little spot around the side of our house.  Its such a nice place to hang out in the shade and play with Kahu.

Since 1/2 the space is taken up with my gardens I thought it only far that the other 1/2 could be turned into a fun outdoor play area!

I am going to work on this for the next few weeks, but in the meantime I will share a few images that are inspiring me!

Nettle & Wolf Winter 2012

I cant tell you how much I adore Nettle & Wolf!  Rose the lovely lady behind Nettle & Wolf is mum to 2 beautiful children, and thinks up the clothing ranges with them in mind!

I love that the range is lovingly handmade.  The clothes are practical but super cute.  Ranges now available for pre order! xox

Friday Winners!!! x

Congrats to Shelly Howard & Rebecca Goad, thank you for submitting photos of our products in action! xxx

Catch & Kiss Underwear

I had  been dreading toilet training as I have a VERY strong willed child.  We tried a few times and it was just a nightmare.

To my surprise just before Christmas he just started going to the toilet.  We had a few accidents but by day 3 he pretty much had it under control!

So the fun part starts and we got to track down some super cool underwear (ie superhero pants).  Lucky for me and Naked Baby I know someone who has an underwear range... Yep Catch & Kiss are now online at our store!

Win yourself a $25 Voucher!!!

Would you like to win a $25 Naked Baby Voucher?

We will be drawing a winner every Friday starting this week over on our Facebook page! All you have to do is post a photo to our Naked Baby Facebook wall or email an image to kate@nakedbaby.co.nz of a product you have bought from us in action!

Get creative, have some fun, we cant wait to see what you come up with!

Off to a good start!

So Mr Naked Baby and I are on the let's try for baby no 2 bandwagon. We never really tried not to get pregnant after Kahu, so as his 3rd birthday looms, and no baby no. 2 is not here, I think we need to start getting serious.

I suffer from Polycystic ovary syndrome and Endometriosis, which means getting pregnant is not an easy task. After years of seeing specialists my stepmum found a hormone specialist who proscribed some progesterone cream and a diet (ah how I hate diets!)

Anyway 12 months later Kahu was under construction and 9 months later he made his grand appearance!

So as hubby reminded me the diet was essential I have bitten the bullet and am 3 weeks in! I feel more energetic and generally happier all round.

The diet consists of cutting all estrogen causing foods (as I produce WAY too much). So goodbye wheat, rice, potatoes, sugar, banana's, grapes.... Oh how I loved you all.

Breakfast had always been my downfall. I love nothing better than a slice of toast smothered in butter and honey. I have made myself a list of 3 easy breakfasts which I rotate and you know what I am loving it and not even missing the toast.

I am loving the fresh fruit ie blueberries, apples, pears etc with some yummy natural yoghurt, topped with pumpkin seeds and cinnamon!

Stay tuned as I share our journey with you!

Chalkboard & Stripes... 2 things I adore in 1 room!

Wow I just spotted this fabulous kids room on Pinterest! (I seriously love that website!).

I must confess that I am totally addicted to stripes and Chalkboard paint.  As I sit here typing I am secretly dreaming of running upstairs and re doing Kahu's room to look just like this.  (Remember the awesome bed my friends hubby built? Well I think it looks pretty similar to the bed pictured here!).

Rachel of New York nursery tales thought up this fabulous room for her son.  I personally cant wait to see what she dreams up next!

Felt Tip Pen Ink Art!

I am not sure about you but we always end up with a multitude of pens that have been unlovingly strewn across the room and left without their precious lids!

I just found this awesome idea on Mini Eco (I adore this blog!), I know you will love it too!

Just pop the unloved pens in a pottle of water like so overnight...

Naked Baby's Newest little helper!

After dog sitting last winter we were truly smitten! Lucky for us some cute puppies arrived about 7 weeks ago and we were able welcome one into out lives!

So things are busy around here as usual but it is the way we love it.

Kahu heads back to preschool next week which he is super excited about. Being an only child he had been missing his friends. Lucky we have some very patient bigger girls next door who have include him in their games over the holidays!

I am looking forward to a very exciting 2012, with my little Naked Baby company. We have shoes, (super cute ones I might add), gorgeous clothes and fab toys arriving!

Also our studio will be open Monday to Friday from 10-2 and by appt outside of those hours! Drop in and see us and don't forget a puppy cuddle will be comic your way!
